Working the flames at the log-fueled grill and oven as they dispatch smoke-kissed pies to seated Londoners, the staff at HOMESLICE can pull up a Michelin-starred dinner without the years of training it requires.

The simple menu includes a small selection of toppings and flavors, like Margherita – Salami, Rocket & Parmesan – Mushroom, Ricotta, Pumpkin Seed & Chilli – Aubergine, Cauliflower Cheese, Spinach & Harissa – Calabrian Peppers, Chervil & Lincolnshire Poacher and many more.

Drinkers can choose from a great deal of draft beers, an extensive selection of Italian and English wines, widespread of innovative cocktails… Don’t let the crowds deter you, the line moves quickly at this iconic, almost-standing-room-only pizza joint.

A plain Neapolitan-style slice will only run you £4, but take it from me and throw in some extra pounds toward the full-on 20inch pizza. You’ll smash it, even if you’ve always thought you’re a light eater.

Case in point: Half of the original Margherita, and half of the Salami, Rocket & Parmesan. A feast for the eyes, each Sicilian-style slice is adorned with vibrant bursts of fresh basil plucked straight from the stem.
